[I’m having a hard time calling this one: I’m hoping to God its not Silver Linings or Les Mis. The easy winner would be Lincoln but Argo is also a typical winner. This year is a little harder to call then usual.]

Oscar Stats: Nominated Best Picture, Best Actress (Emmanuelle Riva), Best Director (Michael Haneke), Best Original Screenplay (Michael Haneke), Best Foreign Language Film. (4 total)
Verdict: The chemistry between the two leads is magnifcant but the unrelenting bleakness of this movie makes it hard to tolerate and even harder to accept the “happy” resolution.
